My dear Friend

pleas find enclosed, an artacle cut from Supplement St Louis Democrat of 28th Ult. from the pen of Some Scribling correspondent for N.Y. Tribune, which does great injustice to the memory of Ann Rutledge as well as Mr Lincoln, he treats the subject with that reckless disregard of truth. ^[1] I feel it due you to call your attention to it, believing however that he has got his impressions from a casual conversation inflicted upon you,
