Mrs. Samuel Hill [1] — am 70 years old — was married in 1835 — 28th July — My Husbands name was Saml Hill — Knew Mr Lincoln well — McNamar and Ann Rutledge. Mr Hill & McNamar were partners in the Store business — dissolved in 1832 — 3. McNamar was called McNeil — went to New York — stayed 2 years — Never got back till Anns death — I was married to Mr Hill in the Country — moved to N. Salem in the fall 1835 — Ann Rutledge had a brown hair — heavy set — Ann Rutledge Came out to my fathers house saw her frequently — Knew her well — Mr. Lincoln staid at our store — Saw him frequently — almost daily — heard him Spin his funny yarns — Mr Hill told me that Anns Sickness was Caused by her Complications — 2 Engagements — She — Ann did not hear of McNamar for a year or more — at last got a letter from McNamar telling
