Note from page 30: 1. On June 10, WHH sent letters to Henry Pirtle and Samuel Haycraft, both of whose names and addresses appear in this memorandum. This suggests that Herndon was prompted to write these two Kentucky informants at Speed's suggestion on or before June 10, 1865.
