Title: Letter from John Macartney, Commander of His Majesty's Ship Mercury, to the Mayor of Norfolk, Virginia. Complains of the summons received by Mr. Sprowle to attend the Committee of Norfolk. He will, to the utmost of iris power, protect the friends of His Majesty, and will use the most coercive means to suppress all unlawful combinations and persecutions within the Province of Virginia.
